Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay an official visit to China from August 30 to September 3 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
During the visit, the two leaders will hold high-level talks focused on strengthening the comprehensive and eternal strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and China, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
On August 31 - September 1, President Tokayev will participate in the 25th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the “SCO Plus” meeting, both scheduled in Tianjin.
On September 2, the Kazakh leader is expected to deliver remarks at the Kazakhstan-China Business Council and engage in meetings with executives of major Chinese companies to boost bilateral trade and investment ties.
On September 3, President Tokayev will attend ceremonies commemorating the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II as an honored guest.
Earlier, it was confirmed that the SCO Summit 2025 will be held in Tianjin on August 31 - September 1. Following the meeting, a package of key documents will be signed, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin said during a briefing.
