Kazakhstan’s Presidential TV and Radio Complex and South Korea’s Aju News Corporation have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand media cooperation and develop joint content projects during President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s state visit to South Korea.

The agreement was signed by Raushan Kazhibayeva, director of the Kazakh President’s TV and Radio Complex, and Kwak Young-gil, chairman and founder of Aju News Corporation, Qazinform reports.

Under the memorandum, the two organizations will strengthen professional ties, expand information exchange and work together on television, digital media and multimedia projects.

Kazhibayeva described the partnership as a long-term investment in high-quality international media dialogue, with a focus on exchanging modern approaches to content production.

“The focus of our partnership is the exchange of modern approaches to content production that will be of interest to a broad Kazakhstani and Korean audience,” she said.

Kwak said the media sector could serve as a reliable bridge between Kazakhstan and South Korea, with professional exchanges and joint projects helping strengthen bilateral trust and partnership.

“Through professional exchanges, joint information projects and the promotion of cultural initiatives, the media can make a significant contribution to strengthening partnership and trust between our countries,” he said.

The cooperation is expected to increase the presence of Kazakhstan-related news in the Asian information space and give audiences in both countries greater access to coverage of political, economic, social and cultural developments.

The partnership is also part of the Kazakh Presidential TV and Radio Complex’s broader effort to expand its international network. The organization currently works with around 70 media partners worldwide, including CMG, TASS, Al Jazeera, Yonhap, Kyodo, Anadolu Agency, Associated Press of Pakistan and BRICS TV.

The Presidential TV and Radio Complex is Kazakhstan’s largest vertically integrated media organization, bringing together television, radio, international channels, the Qazinform news agency, documentary production and digital media.

Aju News Corporation is one of South Korea’s major media groups, with assets including Aju Press, AI Business Channel, Aju Business Daily and other digital and print publications. Its content is produced in Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese, covering developments across South Korea and Asia.
