The Kazakh Foreign Ministry has announced that at Austria’s initiative, Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu held a phone call with his Austrian counterpart Beate Meinl-Reisinger to discuss bilateral and multilateral agendas and exchange views on regional developments.
The sides welcomed the outcomes of the recent Kazakh-Austrian Intergovernmental Commission and Business Council meetings held in Astana in April, expressing interest in deepening mutually beneficial trade and economic ties, The Caspian Post reports per Kazakh media.
The officials highlighted the convergence of their positions on several issues and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining constructive dialogue and cooperation within multilateral frameworks, including the United Nations and the OSCE.
In a related development, Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Issetov met with Austrian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Andrea Bacher to exchange views on pressing international and regional matters.
