Kazakhstan’s young talents have once again made their mark on the international stage, winning three silver and one bronze medal at the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2025) held in Sucre, Bolivia.
Representing Kazakhstan were Maxim Tsoi and Dauzhan Beketov from Almaty, Mansur Mamdakhunov from the Kyzylorda Region, and Akezhan Askar from Semey, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The team demonstrated exceptional programming and problem-solving abilities against the world’s best young coders.
Since first participating in the IOI in 1998, Kazakhstan has accumulated an impressive total of 75 medals, highlighting the country’s growing prowess in computer science education. The IOI, launched in 1989 in Bulgaria, remains one of the most prestigious competitions for high school informatics worldwide.
This recent success follows closely on the heels of Kazakhstan’s achievement at the 55th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO 2025) in Palaiseau, France, where Kazakh students earned five medals, reinforcing the nation’s strong intellectual presence globally.
