Kazakhstan Considers Baku-Supsa Route for Oil Exports

Kazakhstan is holding consultations on the possible use of the Baku-Supsa oil pipeline to export Kazakh oil, Deputy Energy Minister Sungat Yessimkhanov said.

“Consultations are currently underway with the Azerbaijani side and interested oil companies regarding the possible use of the Baku-Supsa route. At the same time, the commercial and technical parameters for transporting oil along this route are being worked out,” he said, according to Report.

Kazakhstan is also working to increase the volume of its oil transported through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, the Ministry of Energy said.
