Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister, Arman Issetov, has met with Ambassador of the EU to Kazakhstan, Aleška Simkić, to discuss the current status and future trajectory of Kazakhstan-EU relations, with a focus on strengthening strategic and regional cooperation.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed progress in key areas of collaboration, particularly in economics, transport connectivity, green energy, and other sectors of mutual strategic interest, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
They also agreed on the timeline of upcoming high-level visits and joint bilateral and regional events scheduled for later this year.
Special emphasis was placed on the implementation of agreements reached during the Central Asia-EU Summit held in Samarkand in April 2025. Issetov underlined the importance of translating these agreements into tangible outcomes to benefit both sides.
Simkić highlighted the EU’s current initiatives to support sustainable development, enhance regional infrastructure, and accelerate the transition to clean energy across Central Asia.
The meeting concluded with both parties reaffirming their commitment to maintaining an active and regular dialogue, further consolidating the Kazakhstan-EU partnership in the years ahead.
