As of early December 2025, 1,199 Kazakhstan-invested companies are operating in Uzbekistan.
Kazakhstan ranks fourth among foreign investors in the country, behind China, Russia, and Türkiye, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The trade sector leads Kazakh business activity with 492 enterprises, followed by the industrial sector with 129 companies. Kazakh firms are also active in information and communications (127), construction (82), and other sectors (263).
Kazakh businesses are branching into hospitality and catering (39), transportation and warehousing (33), agriculture and fisheries (21), and healthcare and social services (13), signaling diversification beyond traditional industries.
Experts note that the growth of joint ventures and expanding cooperation reflects strong mutual trust between Kazakh and Uzbek entrepreneurs and underscores Uzbekistan’s rising investment appeal in the region.
