Kazakhstan Exports First Batch of Halal Products to Saudi Arabia

Kazakhstan has shipped its first batch of halal-certified products to Saudi Arabia after receiving official quality certification.

The country is the first in Central Asia to be granted this recognition by the Saudis, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Saudi Arabia is considered one of the most demanding markets for halal products and serves as a gateway to the Gulf countries,” KazStandard said.

In November 2025, the Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology received accreditation from the Saudi Halal Center under the Saudi Food and Drug Authority. This allows Kazakh meat and dairy products to enter the Saudi market directly, without additional inspections or barriers.
