Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed the law ratifying the Treaty on Deepening and Expanding Allied Relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, further solidifying the strategic partnership between the two Central Asian neighbors.
The treaty, originally signed on April 19, 2024, in Astana, was ratified following approval by Kazakhstan’s legislative bodies, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The treaty outlines a broad framework for advancing bilateral cooperation in a range of sectors, including political dialogue, military and defense collaboration, trade and economic ties, investment, agriculture, transit and transportation, water and energy resource management, education, science and technology, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
