The Ministry of Transport has published a draft proposal for public discussion, developed under Article 48, Paragraph 4 of the country’s Digital Code, Qazinform News Agency reports.
According to the ministry, the initiative aims to speed up passenger processing, simplify pre-flight procedures and strengthen airport security through biometric authentication technology.
The proposal is intended to test the use of artificial intelligence and biometric identification in airport operations, potentially making the passenger journey more efficient.
The draft document has been published on Kazakhstan’s Open NPA portal and will remain open for public discussion until November 4, 2026.
