During his official visit to Switzerland, Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev held a series of high-level meetings with the management of EuroAirport and the senior management of the global container shipping operator Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC).
He also met with the investment and technology group Kanadevia Inova and industrial investor Roland Bartholet, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
EuroAirport CEO Tobias Markert expressed interest in developing new cargo and transit air routes linking Asia and Europe via Kazakhstan.
MSC Senior Vice President Eduard Sigrist discussed expanding ports, terminals, and rail connections along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route. Inova presented projects on waste-to-energy conversion, while Bartholet proposed collaboration on energy storage and industrial infrastructure.
In turn, Kosherbayev highlighted the potential for technology transfer and joint investment, focusing on green energy, waste processing, tourism infrastructure, and agro-industry modernization.
The meetings confirmed strong Swiss interest, with plans for over $700 million in investment in Kazakhstan’s agricultural sector, reinforcing the country’s position as a strategic partner in trade and innovation.
