Kazakhstan to Require ETA Entry Permits for Tourists From July 2027

Kazakhstan will introduce a mandatory electronic travel authorization (ETA) for visitors from July 1, 2027, including Russian citizens.

Under the new rules, travelers will need to obtain the authorization before entering Kazakhstan. Those who fail to secure an ETA may be denied entry into the country, according to ASTRA.

The permit will be issued free of charge through an online application system. Travelers must submit their applications at least 72 hours before their planned trip.

Once approved, the ETA will remain valid for 180 days.

The requirement will apply to citizens of Russia and 50 other countries.
