Kazakhstan's Zhasyl Damu JSC is also preparing several memorandums to expand international partnerships in climate policy, climate change adaptation and sustainable development.

The final list of documents will be determined after consultations with partner organizations.

Kazakhstan's national pavilion will host 36 events featuring international experts, representatives of UN organizations and financial institutions. The business program is being developed by Zhasyl Damu with support from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

One of the key events will be a meeting of environmental ministers from the five Central Asian countries. Discussions will focus on strengthening regional cooperation, developing joint climate initiatives and coordinating responses to shared environmental challenges.

The agenda will also cover the circular economy, waste recycling and clean technologies. Discussions are expected to include a framework partnership program for developing the circular economy across Central Asia, as well as urban approaches to building sustainable infrastructure and attracting investment.

Climate change adaptation will be another major focus, with discussions addressing several environmental priorities across the region, including:

Restoring the North Aral Sea;

Preserving Caspian Sea ecosystems;

Improving sustainable water resource management;

Strengthening agricultural resilience to climate change;

Protecting and restoring forests and steppe ecosystems.

The technology agenda will examine the use of artificial intelligence and space technologies in climate action, methane emissions monitoring, building energy efficiency and the application of scientific data in climate policymaking.

The program will also address the impact of climate change on public health, environmental education and youth participation in climate policy.

Through its participation in COP31, Kazakhstan aims to strengthen international climate partnerships, attract investment in green development and advance regional cooperation on environmental challenges across Central Asia.
