Police officers have detained a group of individuals suspected of violating public order in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

According to investigators, several suspects unlawfully entered a residential property and used violence against the homeowners, attempting to force them to comply with their demands, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.

During the incident, the group reportedly used an object resembling a firearm, creating a real threat to the lives and health of the residents.

Following investigative measures, all participants involved in the incident were identified and taken into custody. Items considered dangerous were seized from illegal circulation. A criminal case has been opened, and the investigation is continuing.

Zhanat Nurgaliyev, head of the Almaty Police Department’s Organized Crime Control Department, stressed that attempts to resolve disputes through violence or intimidation are unacceptable.

“We stopped the actions of a group that tried to achieve its goals through pressure and threats,” he said. “Police are working to ensure every resident is protected and every offender is held accountable. Timely reports from citizens help us respond quickly and effectively.”
