QazaqGaz and ADNOC Discuss Cooperation on Joint Exploration Projects

Kazakhstan's leading gas company, QazaqGaz, held technical discussions with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to explore opportunities for collaboration.

Chairman of the Board of JSC “NC ‘QazaqGaz’ Sanzhar Zharkeshov and Executive Vice President for International Development of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) Mohammed Al-Aryani discussed cooperation in joint exploration projects in Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazinform.

“We see great prospects for cooperation with ADNOC and express readiness to effectively utilize the potential in this area. QazaqGaz is ready to offer transparent and competitive terms and provide access to promising areas. This step can become the basis for strengthening bilateral partnership,” said Sanzhar Zharkeshov.

The strategic agreement on the development of the gas industry between QazaqGaz and Turkmengaz was signed in 2024 during the official visit of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Turkmenistan.

QazaqGaz plans to participate in the development of gas fields in Turkmenistan, including the super-giant gas and oil field “Galkynysh”.

ADNOC is a leading oil and gas producer in the UAE and fourth in the world, developing both onshore and offshore gas fields.
