A third Kazakhstani tourist is feared missing in the disaster-affected area along the Nepal-China border, according to Kazakh Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhanbolat Usenov.

Kazakh diplomats are working to determine the circumstances and are coordinating with authorities in both Nepal and China, The Caspian Post reports, citing Qazinform.

Search efforts for the Kazakh tourists are continuing. Kazakhstan’s diplomatic missions are maintaining contact with relevant services in the two countries and taking necessary measures to establish the whereabouts of the citizens.

The Foreign Ministry said further information would be provided as confirmed details become available.
