World-renowned firms Zaha Hadid Architects and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), famous for landmarks like Dubai’s Burj Khalifa and New York’s One World Trade Center, have presented their conceptual urban visions for Alatau City.
During a meeting with Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev, the firms showcased design codes for Alatau City and the landmark Iconic building, set to become the city’s business hub and signature structure, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The projects emphasize high-rise development aligned with international quality standards, integrating transport infrastructure, highways, natural landscapes, climate considerations, and public space priorities.
Bozumbayev praised the architects for their proposals, with both sides expressing readiness for continued collaboration. Earlier, Kazakhstan and South Korea announced a partnership on the Alatau Smart City project.
