Over the past four years, direct investments from the Eurasian Economic Union’s (EAEU) member states into Kyrgyzstan have seen a remarkable threefold increase.
In 2021, Kyrgyzstan received $89 million in direct investment inflows from EAEU member states, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
This figure steadily grew over the years, reaching $173.2 million in 2022, $183.9 million in 2023, and ultimately surging to $263.6 million by the end of 2024.
Russia remains the largest investor in Kyrgyzstan, contributing nearly $162 million in 2024, accounting for the majority of the total inflows.
Kazakhstan also made significant contributions, with its direct foreign investments in Kyrgyzstan hitting a record high of $113.5 million last year, marking a historic peak in bilateral economic cooperation.
