Craftsmen from Kyrgyzstan are set to take part in the All-Russian Tourism Forum “Open Dagestan” and the international festival “Guardians of Traditions,” which will be held in Makhachkala from September 25 to 28.
The events will gather representatives from the tourism industry and traditional craft masters from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Belarus, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
“From September 25 to 28, Makhachkala will host the All-Russian Tourism Forum ‘Open Dagestan’ and the international festival of folk arts and crafts ‘Guardians of Traditions.’ The events will bring together participants from across Russia, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan,” the organizers said.
Tourism industry leaders, government officials, and business representatives are expected to attend. The program will include plenary sessions, practical workshops on supporting traditional arts and crafts, consultations on copyright issues, and discussions on the potential of the North Caucasus as a new tourism hub in Russia.
Visitors will also enjoy an exhibition of folk arts and crafts, interactive workshops, traditional and board games, displays of national costumes, modern designer fashion shows, concerts, film screenings, and evening entertainment programs.
