Kyrgyz Leader Promises Punishment for Threats to Public Peace

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has reassured citizens amid the situation with Kamchybek Tashiev, emphasizing that the country’s internal and external affairs remain stable and the peace of people will be protected.

Japarov urged not to turn the matter into a tragedy, saying, “Nothing will happen. Life will be even better than before. If one friend leaves, I have more than 7 million friends behind me. Our people and our blessed state are most important,” The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

He added, “Whoever disturbs the peace of people will face severe punishment. We have the wisdom and strength for this. Economic growth will only accelerate, and domestic and foreign policies will continue on their current path.”
