Kyrgyz President Arrives in Pakistan

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov on Wednesday arrived in Pakistan for a state visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

According to the presidential administration, the head of state's plane landed at Nur Khan Air Base, where the national flags of both countries were displayed, a red carpet was laid out, and an honor guard was formed, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.

President Sadyr Zhaparov was greeted by Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, and other officials.

A 21-gun salute was fired in honor of the head of state's arrival.
