Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan Strengthen Support for Afghanistan's Stability

During his visit to Pakistan, the President of Kyrgyzstan and the Pakistani Prime Minister reaffirmed their countries' commitment to supporting a stable and peaceful Afghanistan, ensuring a sustainable future for its people.

Tahir Andarabi, spokesperson for Pakistan's Foreign Ministry, added: "Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to a peaceful and stable Afghanistan with a sustainable future for its people," The Caspian Post reports citing foreign media.

The spokesperson also stated that both parties stressed the need for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to fulfill its commitments to the international community and to take practical, verifiable actions against terrorist groups.

Samiullah Ahmadzai, a political analyst, said: "Major countries, especially in the region, have concluded that Afghanistan's territory does not pose a threat to anyone; however, Pakistan continues to highlight this issue to portray Afghanistan as insecure to the region."

Zalmay AfghanYar, another political analyst, stated: "The rulers of Pakistan have hostile plans aimed at implementing their strategic depth policy in governance. But when they can't find a solution, they resort to managing confrontations."

These discussions come at a time when relations between Kabul and Islamabad have been strained for several months, and despite regional efforts, no agreement has been reached to resolve tensions.

Earlier, after failed talks in Istanbul, the Islamic Emirate repeatedly accused Pakistan of not offering acceptable proposals.

However, on Wednesday, Reuters reported, citing its sources, that during talks in Riyadh between representatives of Kabul and Islamabad, both sides agreed to maintain the ceasefire.
