Kyrgyzstan Intercepts Huge Hashish and Opium Haul

Kyrgyz law enforcement officers have seized a major drug shipment totaling 116.4 kg of hashish and 20.4 kg of opium.

Seven individuals from Russia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan were detained, while another Russian national remains wanted, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

The officers discovered the narcotics in homes, secret stashes, and vehicles, alongside $44,700, 8 million Uzbek soms, 2,000 rubles, and 396,000 Kyrgyz soms. Six vehicles were also confiscated, including BMW 530i, KIA Sorento, KIA K3, Hyundai Ioniq, Jeep Compass, and Toyota Alphard, which investigators say were acquired through criminal activity. Multiple criminal cases have been opened in connection with the seizure.
