Kyrgyzstan May Review Visa-Free Travel for US Citizens

Kyrgyz Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov has called for a review of the country’s visa-free regime for US citizens following new American visa rules, emphasizing reciprocity and national interests.

Baisalov stressed that visa policy should reflect parity and mutual respect, The Caspian Post reports via Baisalov's message on X.

“If such high barriers are being introduced for our citizens, we cannot pretend that nothing has happened,” he said.

The new US requirements mandate that Kyrgyz citizens applying for visas pay a bond of up to $15,000, though payment does not guarantee visa approval.
