Head of the National Investment Agency under the President of Kyrgyzstan Ravshanbek Sabirov has held talks with representatives of Chinese companies, including Shanghai Minghou Xufu Business Consulting Management Co., Ltd. and Anté Lingkun (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd., focusing on the launch of concrete investment projects.
The visit of the Chinese delegation followed agreements reached during the participation of the Kyrgyz National Investment Agency at the Shanghai Central Asia Science, Technology and Trade Forum held in Shanghai in January 2026. The forum laid the groundwork for moving bilateral cooperation into a practical phase, The Caspian Post reports via the Kyrgyz National Investment Agency.
During the meeting, the sides discussed specific investment projects focused on digitalization, sustainable development, and the modernization of urban and social infrastructure, including initiatives in the city of Tokmak.
Proposed projects include the creation of a “Global Eco City” featuring environmentally friendly and smart technologies with digital infrastructure management systems; a “Digital Innovation E-Commerce Platform” designed to integrate business processes and trade services; an “Intelligent Urban Public Transport System” aimed at improving efficiency and safety through digital solutions; and the construction of “Smart Medical Cities” that would combine advanced healthcare services, telemedicine, and intelligent management systems.
Sabirov stressed that Kyrgyzstan is interested in partnerships that deliver tangible results rather than remaining at the conceptual stage. He highlighted the importance of technology transfer, job creation, and improving the quality of life for citizens, noting that the National Investment Agency is ready to provide comprehensive institutional support to ensure the successful implementation of joint initiatives within the framework of national legislation.
Following the talks, the parties signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the National Investment Agency under the President of Kyrgyzstan and representatives of the Chinese companies. The document aims to promote investment and technological cooperation, support promising joint projects, and facilitate further engagement with investors and technology partners.
Both sides confirmed their mutual interest in continuing practical cooperation, developing detailed project proposals, and advancing concrete investment initiatives in the near future.
