The Kyrgyz Ministry of Architecture, Construction, Housing, and Communal Services has unveiled plans for a new ethno‑town and tourist camp near Kel‑Suu Lake, aiming to boost tourism and infrastructure in the At‑Bashy District.
The At‑Bashy District Office of the Department of Urban Planning and Architecture has prepared a conceptual design for the resort complex in Kok‑Kiya Valley, on the banks of the scenic Kel‑Suu Lake, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.
The development is set to include:
A traditional-style ethno‑town, reflecting local culture and heritage
A modern hotel to accommodate visitors
Parking facilities to improve access
Playgrounds for children
Horseback riding zones and other leisure activities
Supporting infrastructure to enhance visitor comfort
Officials say the project’s primary aim is to organize visitor flows, ensuring the area can safely and sustainably accommodate more tourists while providing modern amenities and preserving the region’s cultural character.
If implemented, the new complex could significantly raise the appeal of Kel‑Suu as a travel destination, while contributing to local economic development and infrastructure in the Naryn region.
