Kyrgyzstan Reports Two Cases of Metapneumovirus

Two cases of metapneumovirus have been detected in Kyrgyzstan, according to the Ministry of Health, The Caspian Post reports citing foreign media. The Ministry of Health conducts epidemiological surveillance of severe acute respiratory infections.

1,144 samples were collected from patients in 12 weeks of 2024. These included 210 cases of rhinovirus, 259 respiratory syncytial virus, 105 adenovirus, 79 bocavirus, 98 parainfluenza, and 2 metapneumovirus.
