Kyrgyzstan has officially launched its new 2025 biometric passports, featuring a complete redesign that reflects national symbols and meets standards of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
The upgraded passports are produced domestically by Uchkun company, which has modernized its infrastructure and installed advanced equipment to support high-security document production, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
The new passports boast over 30 security features, including holograms, kinegrams, UV printing, a cryptographic chip, laser-engraved personal data, and transparent windows with Kyrgyz ornaments. Each visa page showcases landmarks, historical sites, and cultural symbols, such as Manas, Khan Tengri Peak, and Yntymak Ordo, combining artistry with cutting-edge security.
Designed to enhance border control, combat forgery, and improve migration management, the rollout reflects Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to national security and digital modernization. Replacement is available only upon request, passport expiration, or when visa pages run out, ensuring a smooth transition to the new standard.
