Kyrgyzstan has begun receiving shipments of gasoline, diesel fuel and other petroleum products from countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), according to Kanatbek Eshatov, President of the Association of Oil Traders of Kyrgyzstan.

Eshatov said the fuel market remains challenging, with virtually no current offers from Russian refineries. Supplies to Kyrgyzstan are now arriving from distant countries, as well as Belarus, Azerbaijan, Türkiye and one European country, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kabar.

He added that negotiations with China and Kazakhstan are still ongoing.

According to Eshatov, rising prices on global markets are also affecting the Kyrgyz fuel market, making it difficult to artificially contain price fluctuations over an extended period.

He said August and September are unlikely to bring significant improvements. However, the situation could improve by October, when Russian exporters are expected to increase refining capacity, boost fuel supplies to the market and resume deliveries to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

Eshatov expressed hope that, through cooperation with partners, the fuel supply situation could stabilize within two months.
