Kyrgyzstan, Russia Boost Veterinary Cooperation

In Moscow, Kyrgyzstan’s veterinary chief Adilet Sotovaldiev has met with head of Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) Sergei Dankvert to discuss cooperation and the expansion of mutual agricultural trade.

Sotovaldiev praised the high professionalism of Russian specialists, especially those at the All-Russian Research Institute for Animal Health, and highlighted the proven effectiveness of its foot-and-mouth disease vaccine, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

Kyrgyzstan expressed strong interest in purchasing these veterinary products.

Dankvert confirmed Russia’s readiness to supply vaccines for animal diseases to Kyrgyzstan and to support their proper use and monitoring.

Rosselkhoznadzor signaled willingness to consider increasing imports of Kyrgyz products that comply with the Eurasian Economic Union's (EAEU) quality and safety standards.

Both sides discussed improving regulations for livestock and fish product exports from Kyrgyzstan to Russia.

At the conclusion of the talks, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening veterinary cooperation and boosting trade, particularly in fish and dairy products.
