The Institute of Seismology at the Kyrgyz National Academy of Sciences has confirmed that an earthquake struck Kyrgyzstan on July 28 at 13:41 (GMT+6).
The epicenter was situated near multiple settlements: 2 kilometers northwest of Eski-Masy, 3 kilometers northwest of Alma, 5 kilometers west of Gelegen, 6 kilometers southeast of Kara-Bulak, 6 kilometers northwest of Masy, and 6 kilometers northeast of Kochkor-Ata city, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.
The quake’s intensity reached approximately 3 on the Richter scale in Eski-Masy and Alma, with a slightly lower intensity of 2.5 in Gelegen.
No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been issued.
