Azerbaijan, Armenia to Recognize Their Borders from Former USSR Era

Having confirmed that the boundaries between the Soviet Socialist Republics of the former USSR became the international borders of respective independent states and have been recognized as such by the international community, Azerbaijan and Armenia recognize and shall respect the sovereignty, territorial integrity, inviolability of international borders and political independence of each other.

This is reflected in the text of the “Agreement on Establishment of Peace and Inter-State Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia” initialed by the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, The Caspian Post reports.
