Commander-in-Chief: Ukraine Moves Military Training Centers Inland Amid Rising Drone and Missile Threats

Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi has announced that the Armed Forces are relocating their training centers further inland in response to the growing threat posed by Russian drone and missile attacks.

Syrskyi detailed the outcomes of a monthly meeting focused on the training of military personnel and the operational status of training facilities, The Caspian Post informs via Ukrainian media.

He emphasized that significant organizational reforms have been implemented over the past year to ensure that new recruits are properly equipped for modern warfare.

One of the most notable changes is the expansion of the general basic training program to 51 days. The updated curriculum includes specialized components, such as anti-drone defense training, to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving technological battlefield.

"Given the increasing threat of drone and missile strikes, we continue to strengthen the safety of our training centers," Syrskyi stated. "Many of these facilities are now being relocated deeper into the country, far from the front line."

He acknowledged that this strategic shift brings new challenges - particularly in maintaining high training standards at more remote locations. However, he assured that these concerns are being actively addressed.

“All critical issues have been reviewed, and we’ve identified immediate steps to resolve them,” Syrskyi said. “It’s vital that we fully unlock the potential of our training infrastructure.”
