President Tokayev Unveils Plans for Kazakhstan’s Second Supercomputer Cluster at Digital Bridge Forum

At the plenary session of the Digital Bridge 2025 International Tech Forum, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev revealed plans to launch Kazakhstan’s second supercomputer cluster in Astana.

Recalling the first meeting of the Council for Artificial Intelligence Development held just the day before, President Tokayev highlighted the gathering of leading international experts focused on advancing human capital development and setting strategic objectives for Kazakhstan’s AI future, The Caspian Post reports per Kazakh media.

A significant milestone achieved during the meeting was the decision to establish the country’s first AI Research Center.

“Today, we will also witness the inauguration of the Alem.ai International Artificial Intelligence Center-a vibrant hub for ideas and innovation. Kazakhstan welcomes all forms of cooperation in this rapidly evolving field. Furthermore, preparations are underway for the launch of the second supercomputer cluster,” President Tokayev stated.

He stressed that artificial intelligence must serve only noble causes, prioritizing human well-being above all.

Alem.ai is envisioned as a global center for the ethical and efficient deployment of AI technologies. Together with a new university initiative, Alem.ai will form the foundation for a unified and forward-looking AI ecosystem in Kazakhstan.
