The Kremlin has not ruled out the possibility of a phone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and former US President Donald Trump, following ongoing US-Ukrainian negotiations.
Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the issue could be raised and, if necessary, arranged swiftly, The Caspian Post reports, citing TASS.
"We also do not rule out that the topic of a call at the highest level may arise. If such a need emerges, it will be organized very quickly. The existing channels of dialogue with the Americans make it possible to do this in a relatively short time," he said.
Negotiations between the delegations of the United States and Ukraine took place in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia on March 11. They lasted 9.5 hours. Following the talks, a joint statement was published on Vladimir Zelensky's website, according to which Ukraine is ready to accept a US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire, and Washington will immediately lift the pause in providing intelligence and resume assistance to Kyiv.
