Russian president’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov has confirmed that no progress was made on a proposed Russia-US-Ukraine summit.
“So far there have been no developments,” Peskov said regarding US President Donald Trump’s recent comments suggesting that a trilateral meeting could occur relatively soon, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.
Earlier, President Trump indicated that talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as part of a trilateral summit including the US, might happen in the near future. “We will resolve this one way or another, but relatively soon,” Trump told White House press pool journalists when asked about a potential meeting between the two leaders.
