Ukraine launched 91 unmanned aerial vehicles overnight into December 29 at the state residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Novgorod Region, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.
He emphasized that Moscow will respond to the attack, The Caspian Post reports, citing TASS.
Lavrov stated that all of the drones were intercepted and destroyed, adding that there were no reports of casualties or damage as a result of the strike.
He warned that Russia would not leave the attack unanswered.
According to Lavrov, the targets and timing of Russia’s retaliatory response have already been determined.
At the same time, the foreign minister noted that Russia does not plan to withdraw from the negotiation process despite the attack by Ukrainian armed forces on the presidential residence.
Lavrov pointed out that the incident occurred amid intensive negotiations aimed at resolving the Ukrainian conflict. He added that Russia’s negotiating position will be reviewed in light of what he described as terrorist actions by the Kyiv regime.
