The Iranian foreign ministry spokesman stated that coordination is in progress to schedule a date for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Tehran.
"Regarding the Turkish President's visit to Iran, coordination is ongoing; the trip has been agreed upon in principle," said Esmaeil Baghaei in a press conference on Monday, The Caspian Post reports citing Iranian media.
"My colleagues are discussing the exact date of the trip to set a due time," the spokesman said.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan visited Tehran yesterday and held talks with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and President Masoud Pezeshkian.
