Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian.

During the phone call, Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated Pezeshkian on his birthday and wished him good health, family well-being, and continued success in carrying out his state duties, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uza.uz.

The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran, with particular attention to trade and economic relations, investment, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties.

Mirziyoyev and Pezeshkian also exchanged views on regional issues and discussed the schedule of upcoming events.
