Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan FMs held a meeting on January 27. The parties signed two key documents to strengthen bilateral relations, according to Uzbekistan MFA.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov and the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov concluded negotiations by signing a cooperation program for 2025-2026 and a Protocol on inventory and improvement of the contractual and legal framework, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
During the talks, the ministers exchanged verbal notes supporting each other’s candidacies in international organizations.
These steps underline the desire of both countries to develop mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthen friendly relations.
