Airspace Clampdown Grounds Over 50 Flights at Russia’s Pulkovo Airport

Russia’s Pulkovo Airport faced significant disruptions as more than 50 flights were delayed due to active airspace restrictions currently in effect.

The airport’s press service confirmed the delays and noted that ground handling teams and support personnel are working in an intensified mode to cope with the increased operational demands and to assist affected passengers, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

In a bid to alleviate the situation, Turkish Airlines has stepped in by organizing five additional flights to help evacuate travelers stranded due to the cancellations.
