The foreign minister of Armenia and Iran held their regular political consultations in Yerevan.
The consultations were co-chaired by Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan and Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Majid Takht Ravanchi, The Caspian Post reports, citing Armenian media.
The parties discussed a broad agenda of Armenia-Iran bilateral relations, issues pertaining to regional and international developments. Kostanyan and Ravanchi praise the active dynamics of cooperation between the two countries, which is also expressed through mutual visits at various levels.
The sides reaffirmed the determination expressed at the level of the leaders of the two countries to elevate relations to the level of strategic partnership.
Thoughts were exchanged on the prospects for the development of cooperation in energy, infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, tourism and other areas and the progress of the implementation of specific programs.
Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan touched upon projects aimed at developing regional connectivity, including the new opportunities expected as a result of the implementation of the TRIPP project.
