Armenia, Iran Discuss Strategic Ties, Regional Connectivity

On January 8, the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, received a delegation led by Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi, according to the Security Council’s office.

Grigoryan welcomed the delegation and praised the stable development of Armenia-Iran bilateral relations, encompassing economic, cultural, political, and security spheres. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to elevating ties to a strategic level, The Caspian Post reports, citing Armenian media.

The discussions also focused on unblocking regional communications, with particular emphasis on developing the North-South road infrastructure to benefit both countries.

Grigoryan highlighted Armenia’s commitment to implementing the “Crossroads of Peace” project as part of these efforts.
