A forest fire has broken out in the Mentese district of Türkiye’s Mugla province, with strong winds helping the flames spread rapidly.

The fire started in the Yarash area for reasons that have not yet been determined, according to TRT Haber.

Firefighting crews, specialized equipment and aircraft from the Mugla Regional Directorate of Forestry have been deployed to the scene.

Emergency teams are continuing efforts to contain the fire and bring the flames under control as authorities work to prevent the blaze from spreading further.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
