Turkish authorities have detained 14 of 21 suspects wanted in connection with an investigation into drug trafficking and the organization of prostitution in Ankara.

The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office ordered the detention of the suspects, as well as searches and the seizure of property. A simultaneous operation was carried out across the city in the morning, according to TRT Haber.

Prosecutors said the investigation uncovered evidence suggesting that the suspects may have been involved in crimes related to drug trafficking, facilitating drug use, the use of narcotic and psychotropic substances, and organizing prostitution.

Fourteen suspects have been taken into custody, while efforts to locate and detain the remaining seven are ongoing.
