The tenth trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Georgia, Türkiye, and Azerbaijan is scheduled to take place in Istanbul on June 8, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
The ministry said the three ministers are expected to sign a joint statement, the Istanbul Declaration, as part of the ministerial meeting, The Caspian Post reports, citing Georgia Today.
Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili will also hold bilateral meetings with her Turkish and Azerbaijani counterparts on the sidelines of the gathering.
The trilateral format serves as a platform for Georgia, Türkiye and Azerbaijan to discuss regional cooperation, connectivity, transport, energy projects and security issues. The three countries have worked closely on a number of strategic initiatives, including the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway and major energy corridors linking the Caspian region with European markets.
