A major fire has destroyed a banana greenhouse that was being used as a storage facility in Manavgat district of Türkiye's Antalya city, causing extensive property damage.

The blaze broke out for reasons that have not yet been determined. The greenhouse contained motorcycle spare parts and fuel, which fueled the flames and caused the fire to spread rapidly, The Caspian Post reports via TRT Haber.

Emergency crews responded with two fire engines and a water tanker from the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and the Manavgat Forestry Directorate.

Firefighters faced difficulties bringing the blaze under control due to the large amount of flammable materials stored inside the building. After nearly two hours of intensive firefighting efforts, the fire was successfully extinguished.

The greenhouse and all materials stored inside were completely destroyed, resulting in significant financial losses. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
