Russia and Serbia Agree to Expand Air Links With Kaliningrad Flights

Russia and Serbia have agreed to expand their existing air connectivity by introducing bilateral flights to and from Kaliningrad.

The agreement was reached by the aviation authorities of the two countries, opening the way for Serbian airlines designated by the authorities to operate regular services between Serbian cities and Kaliningrad, according to iz.ru.

“The aviation authorities of the two countries have agreed to expand bilateral air services. Designated Serbian air carriers will be able to operate regular flights from cities in Serbia to Kaliningrad and back,” Russia’s Ministry of Transport said in a statement.

The move will add new options for travelers between Serbia and Russia’s westernmost region and could improve Kaliningrad’s international air accessibility.

Russian officials expect the expanded air service to support cooperation across several areas, particularly tourism, culture and business.

More direct connections could make travel easier for tourists and business travelers while creating additional opportunities for people-to-people and commercial exchanges between the two countries.
