Russia is ready to mediate between Iran and the United States if requested, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

The spokesman said Moscow was also prepared to make efforts to prevent further military escalation in the Gulf region, The Caspian Post reports, citing Al Jazeera.

According to the spokesman, Russia is willing to receive Iran’s enriched uranium if the material remains a sticking point in negotiations.

Peskov added that Iran remains a regular topic of communication between Moscow and Washington, with the two sides exchanging views on the issue.
