Russian flag carrier Aeroflot has introduced changes to the rules regarding the carriage of power banks on board its aircraft, the airline’s press service announced.
Under the updated regulations, a passenger is now allowed to carry only two such devices, The Caspian Post reports, citing TASS.
In addition, these devices must not be placed in checked baggage and cannot be recharged during the flight.
The airline said the changes are linked to updated international safety requirements.
According to the statement, rules governing the transport of devices containing lithium batteries were revised by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in January 2026 and later updated by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as of March 27 of this year.
